Angelo State Wins It All!

There was fierce competition as usual at the 5th Annual Undergraduate Quiz Bowl Competition. Professors, students, and industry members watched as teams from across the nation battled it out to win the coveted RMC Quiz Bowl Championship.  The competition was held on Sunday, starting at noon before the Welcome Reception, helping to kick off the 59th Reciprocal Meat Conference. By the end of the day it was down to two teams, Angelo State University and Colorado State University, who would go head to head during the Quiz Bowl finals, to be held at the Picnic on Monday night.

Angelo State came out victorious after two very close rounds in the finals. It was only the second year in quiz bowl history for there to be two rounds needed to determine the champion in the finals.  Team members of the champion team were: Heather Rogers, Matthew Menchaca, and Darci Owens. Special thanks to Jason Behrends who was the Chair of the Quiz Bowl Committee and to everyone else who helped out, as well as Sara Lee for sponsoring this event. Congratulations to all of the teams that participated and good luck next year!
