All Beef Is Grass Fed

In today’s marketplace, farmers and ranchers are providing consumers with a variety of beef options including grass fed and grain fed. However, despite these different labels, one thing remains the same. Virtually all cattle are grass fed for a majority of their life.

Regarding the concerns generated about grain fed beef, it is important to remember all cattle are raised similarly in the beginning stages of their life. The true difference between grain and grass fed beef is their nutrition during the “finishing stage.” Grain fed beef is fed corn and nutrient dense feed during the final months before harvesting.
