AMSA Educational Foundation Meat Judging Endowment

The American Meat Science Association (AMSA) provides leadership and professional development for individuals across the meat and livestock industry. It actively fosters community and professional development among individuals who create and apply science to efficiently provide safe and high quality meat. Youth development programs like meat judging are a core part of achieving this mission.

Since its conception in 1926, the meat judging program has impacted thousands of students from high school through undergraduate levels. As the program has grown, many of the past and current leaders of the meat industry, as well as highly recognized scientific minds have been trained in meat evaluation. Meat judging serves the meat and livestock industry by cultivating future leaders, developing a network of relationships and initiating discovery and application of sound science.

Investing in a program that cultivates the future leaders, researchers and communicators for the industry pays big dividends. The meat judging program equips individuals with the skills needed to make a difference and develop leaders that will be able to meet the needs of a constantly growing meat industry. As the industry faces some of its greatest challenges yet, there needs to be a constant investment into developing future leaders.

Help us ensure the future of meat judging for the next generation of students!

Our goal is to fully fund the AMSA Meat Judging Endowment fund so our program is self-sustaining for generations to come.
