John Forrest

John Forrest

A fundraising drive for establishing a mentorship in the name of John Forrest was started in November, 2011. Dr. Forrest's long career at Purdue University is highlighted by numerous research contributions to meat science and a host of students now working in the meat industry.

The funds raised from the mentorship recognition will be used to support AMSA programs. The mentorship is being coordinated by Mac Orcutt (mworcutt@solae.com).

The fundraising goal for this mentorship is at least $15,000. If you would like to help recognize Dr. Forrest by contributing to the mentorship, make a donation online or contact AMSA Executive Director Thomas Powell (tpowell@meatscience.org) for more information.
