Devin is currently a meat science master’s student at Texas Tech University. He has been an active member of AMSA since 2012. While at Texas Tech, Devin has had the opportunity to participate in research projects throughout multiple areas of meat science including meat quality, muscle biology, and food microbiology. Before starting his graduate degree, Devin earned his bachelor of science degree in animal science from Oklahoma State University. During his undergraduate career, Devin was a member of the 2012 meat judging and 2013 meat animal evaluation teams. Additionally, Devin was an employee at the university’s meat lab and completed a food safety and quality assurance internship with US Foods-Stockyards. Upon graduation, Devin would like to continue his involvement in the meat industry with a career in research and development.
