If you want to get involved in the AMSA Student Membership, there are several different avenues to do so.
- Run for the AMSA Student Board of Directors.
Directors are elected once a year in the Spring semester and there are seven elected positions:
- President, East Region Director, Midwest Region Director, South Region Director, West Region Director, and two At-Large Directors.
There is also a Past-President position on the board which is held by the outgoing Student Board President for one year.
- Student Membership Committees.
There are five student committees. For a description of each committee and list of committee members click on the committee names below.
Leadership Events Committee
To assist the Student Membership Board of Directors in initiating and planning of leadership events outside of Reciprocal Meat Conference on an annual/semiannual basis.
The fundraising committee will assist the Student Membership Board of Directors in existing fundraising activities (merchandise sales and silent auction) as well as develop and implement new fundraising opportunities.
Social Events Committee
To assist the Student Membership Board of Directors in the preparation and planning of the annual Student Social and other events to promote camaraderie among student members.
Student Reciprocation Committee
To assist the Student Membership Board of Directors in the planning of the student focused sessions at the annual AMSA Reciprocal Meat Conference
Taste of RMC Committee
Assist the Student Membership Board of Directors in the preparation and planning of the annual Taste of RMC and Iron Chef Product Development Competitions.
