2009 Call for Abstracts

The American Meat Science Association invites the submission of original research and abstracts on any aspect of meat science for presentation at the 2009 Reciprocal Meat Conference in Rogers, Arkansas.

In 2009, RMC programming will focus on the following general areas. Abstract submissions should fit into one or more of these categories.

• Animal Welfare
• Consumer Topics
• Environment, Production Systems and Meat Quality
• Meat and Meat Product Quality
• Meat Processing, Ingredient Technology and Packaging
• Meat Safety
• Meat Science Education and Extension Tools
• Muscle and Lipid Biology and Biochemistry
• Sustainability

Specific times have been set aside in the reciprocation sessions on June 22-23 for the presentation of 15-minute talks on current research.

Poster presentations will be on display beginning the morning of June 22 through the end of the conference. Specific times will be assigned for groups of posters with similar topics to be attended.

4/1/2009 11:59 pm CDT	Call for Abstracts ends – submission system closes
4/29/2009	Presenters notified of status of submission.
5/5/2009	Deadline for all presenters to register for RMC
6/10/2009	Oral presenter PowerPoint presentations due and must be uploaded electronically through the RMC web site.
