Golf Tournament

Sunday, June 22

12 pm -6 pm

The Mark Bostick Golf Course at the University of Florida (http://www.ufgolfcourse.com/)

Cost: $65.00 fee per person - includes green fees and cart.

The golf tournament format is a four person scramble, with a shotgun start at 1:00 and will conclude with award presentations. Bring your friends and have an enjoyable afternoon.

Welcome Reception

Cost: Free to all RMC attendees & their families

Catch up with fellow AMSA members and make new friends. The products formulated during Saturday’s Iron Chef competition will be featured and you will have the opportunity to vote for your favorite. We will crown the winners of the People’s Choice award Tuesday morning during the opening session.

Student/Professional Networking Breakfast

Cost: Free for Student Members | $20 for Professional Members

Graduate and undergraduate students gather with professional AMSA members to get acquainted and learn more about the meat science profession. A brief business meeting for the AMSA Student Membership will be held at the end of the breakfast.

Emeritus Breakfast

Cost: $20 per person

All Emeriti/Soon-to-be-Emeriti/Ought-to-be-Emeriti and their spouses are invited to a breakfast at the Hilton on Monday morning. There will be plenty of fellowship and fun as we prepare for the opening general session of RMC.

Softball Tournament

UF Equine Education Center

Cost: $10 per person

The annual slow-pitch softball tournament is a RMC tradition for many members.  Participation is open to all registrants. If you can't play, come and watch and cheer on your favorite players. The fee includes a ball cap.

Annual Family Picnic

UF Equine Education Center

Cost: $25.00 per person/$10.00 for children 7-12/no charge for children 6 and under

Come join the most anticipated and attended event of the week. Share a meal and get reaquainted with old friends. The UF Meat Science crew will prepare a great prime rib meal for all to enjoy.

The final rounds for the Student Quiz Bowl will be held during the picnic.

 

AMSA Business Meeting & Continental Breakfast

Come to the business meeting and help celebrate the association’s progress and get more insight into the future plans of AMSA. Learn how you can play an important and active role in moving AMSA closer to its goals and objectives.

AMSA Awards Banquet and Ice Cream Social

Cost: $40.00 per person

Celebrate the achievements of fellow AMSA members as we recognize the 2008 award winners. The meal will feature prime rib provided by H-E-B and expertly prepared by the University of Florida meat science faculty and students. The evening will be capped off with an ice cream social.

 

Fun Run

Wednesday, June 25

6:00-7:30 am

Cost: $15.00 per person

Run begins and ends on the UF campus.

Join us for a breath of fresh air and a 5 k jog around the University of Florida. This year will again feature the popular poker run, so everyone will have an opportunity for winning. The cost of the fun run also includes a t-shirt.
