Tentative Spring Intercollegiate Meat Judging Schedule
- January 14, 2024: National Western in Honor of R. Paul Clayton Intercollegiate Meat Judging Contest, Greeley, CO
- January 28, 2024: Southwestern Intercollegiate Meat Judging Contest, Fort Worth, TX
- February 10 or 11, 2024: South Plains Intercollegiate Meat Judging Contest, Hereford TX
- March 2, 2024: Iowa State University Intercollegiate Meat Judging Contest, Ames IA
- March 2, 2024: Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Intercollegiate Meat Judging Contest, Houston TX
- April 12-13, 2024: Southeastern Intercollegiate Meat Judging Contest, Columbus OH and Lexington KY
- April 11-13, 2024: Meat Animal Evaluation Contest, Laramie WY
Contest Schedule
- 5:30am- Group Leaders arrive- American Division
- 5:30am- American Division Registration begins at 5:30am-ALL competitors MUST be registered by 6:00am
- 6:00am- Brief welcome and instructions, divide into groups, and prepare for the contest
- 6:50am- Competitors enter the cooler
- 7:00am- Contest begins- we MUST begin on time
- 8:00am- National Division Group Leaders and Teams arrive
- 8:00am- National Division Registration begins-All competitors MUST be registered by 8:15am
- 8:15am- Brief welcome and instructions, divide into groups, and prepare for the contest
- 9:00am- Competitors enter the cooler
- 2:00-2:30pm- Contest conclude
Contest Registration
- Team Registration is $250.00 for 8 judgers or less.
- Individual Registration is $25.00 per judger.
- For additional judgers you will purchase individual registrations for each additional team member. For example, if you have a team of 18 you will purchase 1 team registration- $250.00 and 10 individual registrations ($25 X 10= $250). The total registration fees for one contest will be $500.00.
- Additional coaches will need to pay a coach fee ($25.00) per banquet attended.
Teams registering past Dec 15th will be charged an additional late fee of $100 per contest registered.
2024 Spring Intercollegiate Meat Judging Team Rosters and Forms
Deadline: December 15, 2023
The roster includes the coach's contact information, a list of the 2024 student competitors and contact information. Please be sure the rosters are completed by the deadline above.
All students, coaches, and coordinators must complete the forms link by the deadline. The forms include:
- IMCA Code of Conduct Acknowledgment
- IMCA Good Manufacturing Practices Acknowledgment
- AMSA Anti-Trust Statement
- AMSA Waiver and Assumption of Risk
- AMSA Media Waiver
